Hi beautiful friends…I hope this day finds you all feeling loved and giving love..visual reminders are all around us…would love for you to post some of yours……
My thoughts on happiness today are in celebration of my very much loved great uncle Tas who passed away this week at the grand old age of 91.
Uncle Tas had a way of making others around him feel amazing..he was always giving compliments and wolf whistles.
He’d see an attractive woman (well any woman really ;p) and let out his trademark “Hubba bubba!”…or “Shavings!” while shaking his head incredulously at the vision of loveliness……
Even into his old age he flirted with all of the female residents at the nursing home and made them giggle and blush.
I used to pretend when I was little girl that he was embarrassing…….he’d do things like step into an elevator and rather than ignoring everyone, tip his hat, say “Top of the morning to ya” and launch into a loud rendition of “Hello Dolly”! Secretly I LOVED it!
He was a traveller and an explorer who in his 70’s decided to buy a combi, join the Australian Youth Hostel Association and travel around Australia bunking in youth hostels with “Younguns” from all around the world.
He made my world brighter with his happy and positive nature and I am a better person for having had him in my life.
One day I hope to be able to sing in elevators….
♥ Happy travels Uncle Tas ♥
Wishing you all a week filled with bubbles of happiness, buckets full of laughter and limitless love
