Chocolate treasure {Living in the moment Monday}

by Louise Gale on February 20, 2012

The Maya were the first people to cultivate cocoa. It was so important to them, that they gave the beans as precious gifts on occasions such as a child’s coming of age. They traded cocoa for other commodities and offered the fruits at festivals in honor of their merchant god Ek Chuah. Next time you eat some chocolate or are given a box as a gift, take a moment to appreciate what an amazing natural treasure this gift really is.

What is your favorite chocolate?

Living in the moment raises your awareness of what you are thinking, how you are feeling and the world around you. It grounds you in gratitude for what is here and now. There is no need to focus on regrets from the past or worry about the future. Feeling gratitude for this present moment will raise your consciousness and radiate positive energy from your heart center. Join us every Monday to ground ourselves in the present moment to set us up for the week ahead.
