Join our weekly JOY JAM!

by Heart Center on November 4, 2011

Celebrating everyday helps us tune into what is really important in our lives. We would LOVE to hear all the joyful things, smiles and happy news from your week in our weekly community “joy jam” where we come together for a “jamming session”.

So what is a “Joy Jam?”

We will come together every Friday to celebrate life. What’s been great about our week, what went well, what lovely people are in our lives, something we accomplished or simply something or someone that made us smile.

JOY: [the emotion of great delight or happiness caused by something exceptionally good or satisfying; keen pleasure; elation]

JAM: [pack together tightly], JAMMING SESSION [a meeting of a group of creative souls (usually musicians), to play for their own enjoyment.]

How it works

Every Friday, we invite you to share all your joyful adventures from the week. You can simply pop over to our joy jam post on a Friday and leave a comment. OR even better; write your own ‘joy’ blog post celebrating 3-5 things you are grateful for, thankful for, went well that week or simply made you smile out loud and add your link to our special linky section

THEN later that day or over the weekend, visit all the people who have listed their posts and write a lovely comment on their blog to help them celebrate. The important call to action is to spend some thoughtful time being thankful and celebrating. You can express your joy in anyway you like – through photos, a poem, a video, podcast, a song, the written word or a simple list.

How can a joy jam make a difference?

Imagine 1000′s of people putting out that good positive energy all on the same day, sending a heart energy vibration out into the world? Imagine radiating all that positive energy around you, your friends, family, co-workers and passers by on the street. Not only will it give you permission to celebrate everything that is good in your life for that particular week, you will be making a difference by “Jamming” with your heART community, combining our collective joy to send good vibrations out into the world over the weekend.

When does it start?

11-11-11 will be our first official “Jam”, but let’s have a little go today, please leave a comment below, telling us what went well this week, what success you had, are thankful for or simply something that made you smile.

You can help make a difference.

If you’d like to spread the joy, grab the “Joy Jam” button on the right and link back to http://yourheartmakesadifference.com/category/friday-joy-jam/

Had some great success at work this week. I’m a freelance writer and comms consultant. Lately I’ve been writing lots of award applications for my clients. This week we got some results. One client has made the finals of a local business excellence award and another won the top prize in East Midlands construction awards for best small business. I was so thrilled for them. Happy days :)

Three things I am grateful for this week:
Made the time to create and drew some things I am really very happy with!
Completed an amazing online course called ‘Supplies Me’ with the wonderful Jane Davenpor at http://www.janedavenport.com/ and now feel that I am making real progress with my art!
Started to set up a place in our home for me to create!

I love that you said you drew some things that you’re happy with. I am like that too. Investing time into creating and then not to like what you have done, so that’s fantastic you drew and liked it!

I am filled with joy and gratitude for:
…family that comes together to create
…laughter, deep belly laughter
…a hug from a stranger, right when I needed it most
…making it through
..love, pure heartfelt love
..having the ability to make choices
…a heart full place like this where I can come to land

last week we finalized a home, this week we are packing and will be moving in next week.
I get great joy to know that I will wake up in the mornings to the birds singing and a warm breeze flowing through a window.
I get joy to know that I will be able to go outside and enjoy breakfast in the early morning, and gather creative thoughts.
I am happy and thankful for windows, birds, blue skies, plant pots, mops and brooms.

Thanks for the opportunity to share.

My first joy jam post! I am especially thankful for getting to spend so much one on one time with my younger son as he goes through a really tough life lesson. I was in a position of frustration and feeling stretched too thin but I have chosen to recognize the blessing of all this time together and that has made such a difference.

I volunteered in my sons inclusive 4k classroom, and for some reason I was intimidated and nervous. I have worked with small children in the past as well as special needs kids- so I dont exactly know what my problem was? It turned out to be a super great day and I enjoyed it alot.
I also connected on the phone with a friend.:)
